Have you ever needed a card in a hurry? I did tonight – I totally lost track of my time
this month, and found myself with a blog post due tomorrow morning and no
project done yet. So I went back to one
of my favorite Sale-a-bration items, the Detailed Dogwood stamp set (free with
$100 order). The detailed images in this
set are perfect for super simple cards using just stamps, ink and paper.
To keep my project super simple, I used the Basic White Note
Cards & Envelopes and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I simply stamped the large dogwood image in the
Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the front of the note card, then stamped the “Hello
There” sentiment from the Softly Sophisticated Stamp Set (part of the Softly
Sophisticated Bundle, a free with $100 Sale-a-bration item) underneath the
image – and my card was done. Within 5
minutes or so, I had 4 note cards stamped.
I also stamped the smaller bud/branch image along the left edge of 4 envelopes,
and the I was ready to start writing my blog.
Making cards doesn’t have to be a complicated process when
you have such beautiful stamps to work with!
And of course, you don't have to limit yourself to just stamps, one ink color and paper. Add in a few ink colors, cardstock and a couple of tools, and with just a little extra time, you can step up your card a bit with cute fun fold card using the same stamp sets.
