Our theme this month is anything
Sale-a-bration. I love Sale-a-bration so
much – I mean who doesn’t love FREE stamping products! I chose the Dainty Flowers Designer Series
Paper (page 6-7 in the Sale-a-bration Brochure) for my project, which is a Free
with $50 item and coordinates with the Dainty Delight Bundle in the
January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. It
works out perfectly to order the Dainty Delight Bundle for $54.50 USD and then
choose the Dainty Flowers DSP as your free Sale-a-bration item – just saying!
I loved the card
pictured at the left side of page 7 in the SAB brochure, and I cased (copied
and selectively edited) the design for my project.
Here are the steps I followed
to make this card:
Cutting Measurements:
Basic White Thick
Cardstock – 6 1/4” x 6 1/2” (score and fold at 3 1/4”) and a small piece for stamped
sentiment
Starry Sky Cardstock (or
Starry Sky patterned paper from DSP) – 3” x 6”
Dainty Flowers DSP (Oval
Frame and Floral Panel pattern) – Cut center panels 2 3/16” x 5 7/8”
Starry Sky Metallic
Woven Ribbon – approximately 7”-8”
I used the Twigs and Sprigs embossing folder to add texture to my Starry Sky layer, but you could skip the embossing and use the Starry Sky pattern from the Dainty Flowers DSP collection instead. This layer was then adhered to my card front.
The full floral panel was then adhered to the left side of my embossed Starry Sky layer with the length of ribbon positioned at the bottom of this panel so that it would wrap underneath and around and tie a bow at the right side. Before tying the bow though, I added glue dots to the back of my fussy cut floral piece and adhered it over the panel, offsetting it a bit. Then I finished tying the bow.
I stamped my sentiment
and cut it apart, brushing the edge of each piece with Starry Sky ink.
I finished off with a
coordinating 6 ¾ security envelope. I traced
the flap of the envelope onto a piece of the DSP and trimmed it to fit and
stamped a floral design from the Dainty Delight stamp set on the front of the
envelope. I stamped this design in Mossy
Meadow ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends (Light Mossy Meadow, Light Balmy
Blue, Light Flirty Flamino, Light Melon Mambo, Color Lifter).
